Since moving to the South Coast I have become involved
with Stage-Door Theatre Company where I am currently Charman
Stage-Door Theatre Company an amateur society was formed in 1997.
We are a non-profit making club, which means that all of our
expenses – the costs of running rehearsal facilities,
set and costume storage and putting on shows
– have to be financed in the following ways:
• Ticket / programme sales
• Member / rehearsal subscriptions (subs)
• Other fund raising activities
Our “business” is all about putting on shows and having fun.
We usually put on three a year, a mixture of:
• Musicals, like Annie Get Your Gun or Guys and Dolls.
• Musical reviews, which are compilations of songs and dance,
and sketches from various stage productions.
• Plays or farces, ranging from serious theatre to comedy.
Rehearsals
We usually meet for rehearsal twice a week,
on a Monday and Wednesday at the
United Reform Church Hall
in the town centre.
And the shows are performed at the Windmill Theatre Littlehampton
our next show being “The Vicar of Dibley”
