As Rotarian’s we make amazing things happen both in overseas and our local communities. This includes opening and supporting schools overseas. Rotarian’s have opened a girls’ schools to break the cycle of poverty and social imbalance.
Rotarians have helped both children and adults learn to to read: They have used new teaching methods: The SOUNS method which teaches educators how to improve literacy by teaching children to recognize letters by sounds instead of names
Rotarians are providing clean, fresh water to every public school in Lebanon so students can be healthier and get a better education. Locally we help students with their Maths, Literacy and Reading, This is achieved through one to one sessions or integration via our RotaKids and Interact Groups.
Remember When you teach somebody how to read, they have that for a lifetime.
It ripples through the community, one by one…
